Togather has appointed former Just Eat and Festicket finance boss Tommy England as its new finance director.

The appointment is the latest in a series of recent senior management hires for the food and beverage specialist, and comes on the back of a summer that saw it curate the F&B offerings at more than 70 major events including the Isle of Wight Festival, Boomtown, Kendal Calling, Wilderness and Love Supreme. It’s involvement with the latter included a high-end activation with acclaimed chef and restaurateur Yotam Ottolenghi involving  a full-service restaurant designed and run by the brand’s core team.

England’s appointment follows Togather’s acquisition of festival bars specialist Field Vision Bars in July. His career has also included finance roles at Virgin Media and Virgin Active, M&A advisory at Standard Bank and a stint as interim CFO of WIT Fitness.

“Having spent years in festivals at Festicket and then in food at Just Eat, I see Togather as sitting right where both of those worlds meet,” he said. “The company’s growth over the past few years has been remarkable, and my focus is on building the financial engine that lets the business keep growing at this pace.”

Togather CEO and co-founder Digby Vollrath said, “Tommy brings exactly the combination we need: deep experience of the events industry and of running finance at a company the size of Just Eat. As we take on bigger events, stadia and venues, having someone of his calibre leading our finances is a huge step.”
