AEG Europe is celebrating The O2 arena’s best-ever Q1 results, on the back of the venue having hosted 48 shows in the first three months of this year.

The show count at the 20,000-capacity East London venue was up 9% on Q1 2024, with onsales up 125%. During the quarter, some 10 headline acts made their debut on The O2’s stage.

The news comes as other venues, including OVG’s Co-op Live (cap. 23,500) report record sales.

Among the standout events at The O2 during Q1 was F1 75 Live, a world-first sport event that saw all ten Formula 1 teams, drivers, and team principals take to the stage to promote the racing season’s launch. The quarter also saw the return of The BRIT Awards, UFC and WWE events, and an array of concerts by acts including JJ Lin, ATEEZ, James Blunt and Craig David.

“We are thrilled by the tremendous success of Q1 and the vast variety of events that have taken place at The O2 so far this year,” said AEG Europe senior vice president of venue programming Emma Bownes. “Our teams have worked tirelessly to deliver unforgettable experiences to over 600,000 fans, and we are grateful to the returning and new artists and events that continue to choose The O2 as their stage. With another exciting quarter ahead, we’re eager to bring even more world-class content to our audiences.”

Forthcoming shows at the venue include the remaining dates in a 10-night UK-exclusive residency from Usher.
