Terminal V has revealed Clydeside Live as its new festival home as it prepares to move from Edinburgh to Glasgow for its 10th anniversary.

Produced by independent Scottish events company EE Live, the electronic music festival will take place at the Glasgow site from 4-6 June 2027, marking its first three-day edition and first fully outdoor festival in Scotland.

The capacity of Clydeside Live has not been finalised, according to organisers. Its most recent Edinburgh event had a capacity of 20,000.

Clydeside Live is being developed in Glasgow’s docklands on the north bank of the River Clyde (pictured), with Terminal V set to become the first music festival staged at the site. It is planned to operate as a dedicated open-air event space hosting music events, seasonal attractions and other entertainment.

Terminal V first announced earlier this year that it would move from Edinburgh to Glasgow but had not previously disclosed the location of its new site.

Plans include a new main stage concept for Area V at the water’s edge, while its existing Hangar and Greenhouse stages will be adapted for the outdoor site.

The move comes as Terminal V marks 10 years since launching as a 2,000-capacity, one-day event at Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre in 2017. Organisers said the festival has attracted more than 250,000 attendees across its editions, with more than 30% of ticket sales now coming from outside Scotland.

Terminal V has also expanded internationally, with a Croatian edition alongside previous events at Drumsheds in London and the launch of an Australian edition in 2026.

Organisers said more than 100 artists are due to be announced for the Glasgow festival.

Terminal V founders Derek Martin and Simon McGrath said, “Finding the right home for the next chapter of Terminal V was hugely important to us, and from the moment we saw this site we could see its potential. The scale, the riverside setting and the industrial landscape around it feel completely aligned with Terminal V and give us the freedom to create something we simply couldn’t have done before.

“We’ve seen venues like Silverworks Island demonstrate just how exciting these large-scale outdoor inner city spaces can be for electronic music, and we believe Clydeside Live has the potential to become one of the most exciting new outdoor event destinations in the UK. For our 10th anniversary, we have the opportunity to build the festival from the ground up, rethink our stages and production for the setting and create an experience that feels distinctly Glasgow while still being unmistakably Terminal V. We can’t wait for people to see what we have planned.”
