Tappit, the global payment ecosystem for events, sports stadia and venues, has recently signed deals with Winterland Milton Keynes, Terminal V and Jika Jika sign deals following a successful summer season.

This Christmas, Winterland Milton Keynes will transform Towcester Racecourse into a winter wonderland from the 23 November – 5 January 2020. This will mark the first year that that the attractions will be cashless, meaning attendees will be able to enjoy all the festive fun on offer, including fairground rides, without having to carry cash. Attendees will also benefit from ‘an enhanced payment experience, fewer queues and secure transactions’.

This partnership comes alongside a new deal with Terminal V, an all-day electronic music festival taking place at Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre on 26 October. The fifth edition of the bi-annual festival will be the biggest Terminal V to date, with up to 20,000 people attending. All bars throughout the event will go cashless, using Tappit’s technology.

Jika Jika! in Derry has also made its three Halloween events on 31 October – 2 November 100% cashless following a successful full integration at the two-day Jika Jika! Festival in August. Attendees at the sold-out TRICK event featuring Patrick Topping, Trancewave at the Big Top and Halloween Homegrown Live will be able to avoid the horrors of long queues and spend more time enjoying Halloween with the cashless experience.

These partnerships follow a busy summer festival season for Tappit. With at least one event every week over the festival season between May and September, more than two million people have used Tappit to date.

The CEO of Tappit, Jason Thomas, said: “We’re delighted to see that with the exponential growth of the winter festival and event market, organisers are understanding that cashless is not just for summer festivals. The benefits for the consumer and promoter are huge, not least so attendees can spend less time queuing and less time waiting in the cold! We are looking forward to working again with Jika Jika!, and with Winterland MK and Terminal V, to provide their guests with all the benefits that come hand-in-hand with cashless technologies.”
