Access All AreasVision: 2025 has outlined the full programme for its Sustainable Events Summit at The Showman’s Show.
Among the speakers at the 23 October summit will be LIVE CEO Jon Collins, Levy CEO Jon Davies, Association of Independent Festivals CEO John Rostron, Live Nation UK&I head of sustainability Vikki Chapman, Access All Areas content director Christopher Barrett and Eat to the Beat CEO Bonnie May.
Sponsored by Festival Republic, the free-to-attend summit will open with a members’ only roundtable, bringing together experts in key sustainability topics and Vision: 2025 festival members. The session is being billed as a ‘stepping stone in the climate transition plan journey’.
Davies will deliver a keynote speech offering a supplier perspective drawing on Levy’s experience of developing sustainability strategy and working with clients including The O2 and Peppermint Bars.
Collins will host the session Shaping The Future: A Climate Transition Plan For 2030, exploring how the industry can thrive while reducing environmental impacts and working with the Government to accelerate change.
Barrett will present the Essential Industry Briefings “Quick Fire” session exploring this season’s hot topics at live events, including innovations in battery technology, developments in food sustainability and how to include disabled people in live event sustainability.
Chris Johnson, CEO of onboard:earth, will host the In The Headlights: Collecting Travel Emissions Data Session, while Rostron will present Best of the Summer; with guests sharing their green festival success stories from the 2024 season.
The Showman’s Show Green Supplier and Innovation Award will see three shortlisted suppliers present innovations to help events reduce environmental impacts from the supply chain with SES 24 delegates casting their votes live to decide the winner.
