S&C Productions’ 12,000-capacity Cambridge festival Strawberries & Creem will next take place in 2024 at a new location.

Speaking during the Access All Areas main stage conference at EPS, S&C head of partnerships Chris Jammer revealed that the intention is to take a year off ahead of celebrating the event’s 10th anniversary with a “scaled-up version” at a new site closer to London.

Jammer said taking a year off would provide the event’s promoters with a longer lead time during which they would look to connect with a new generation of fans. “Glastonbury has a fallow year every five years, and we’ve been going for nearly 10,” said Jammer.

He said that S&C will promote a series of one-day Strawberries & Creem events this summer.

Strawberries & Creem is owned by Sony Music-backed promoter Senbla, and managed by S&C Productions’ MD William Young, co-founder Preye Crooks and head of partnerships Chris Jammer. The festival last took place on 17-19 June 2022 at Childerley Orchard on the outskirts of Cambridge with a 60% female line of acts including Ella Mai, Mabel and Tems.

In a statement S&C said, “For the last year, the team has been focused on creating S&C version 2.0. Soon, we’ll have some big news and suprises to share, taking the festival to totally new territory.”
