StaffMatch has won first prize at the first ever #EventTechHack this weekend (13-14 June).

The event technology ‘hackathon’, which took place at Campus London, was organised by Event Tech Lab as the first in a series of event technology events coinciding with London Tech Week.

Software developers, user interface designers and event professionals gathered over 18 hours to collaborate and develop new ideas for applications in event technology software.

StaffMatch, created by Samir Pekaz, Javier Gomes, Michael Bishope, and Tessema Tesfachew, is a freelancer register where venues, event organisers, and the public can hire as well as rate temporary freelance staff. As the winning team, they will now work with Event Tech Lab over the next year to develop the application into an event technology business.

Judges included: Peter Kerwood, Concerto Group; Robert Dunsmore, GES EMEA; Julius Solaris, Event Manager Blog; Gary Dalal, Apptology; and Ivan Garcia, Pickevent.
