Access All AreasShowstop Procedure, a global crowd safety training and certification programme for venues and large-scale event organisers, has been accredited by Highfield Qualifications.
Founded by the Pink Bows Foundation in memory of Madison Dubiski, who was 23 years old when she died in a crush during a Travis Scott concert at the Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas, the Showstop Procedure Course is headed by experienced crowd safety management consultants Steve Allen and Mark Hamilton.
Since launching with The Pink Bows Foundation in the US in March on the back of a conference panel exploring its content at the Event Production Show in London, the course has been attended by more than 320 event professionals across the UK, US and Australia.
“We are proud to have received this accreditation from Highfield, which further underpins our aim to create an internationally recognised, standardised protocol,” said Allen. “The consistent feedback we’ve received from venue managers, operation teams, promotors, police, event and security professionals who have attended the courses informs and motivates us to help create safer events by establishing a competent global pool of Showstop Managers.”
The course is now formally recognised under Highfield’s accreditation framework and carries the its seal of approval. It was already accredited through the CPD Certification service and approved by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management. The UK Crowd Management Association (UKCMA), Event Safety Alliance Canada, Event Safety Alliance USA and the Australian Security Industry Association Ltd are all collaborating with its founders with the aim of establish a globally accepted protocol.
