Saudi government-owned events agency Sela has added two senior execs to its international team in London.
Luke Lloyd-Davies, formerly chief operating officer at Sir Elton John’s Rocket Entertainment Group, has been appointed chief growth officer, while Ed Hepworth (pictured right), whose previous roles include senior financial positions at Six Nations Rugby and the NBA, joins as chief financial officer.
Lloyd-Davies spent more than two decades at Rocket Entertainment, where he represented artists such as Ed Sheeran, James Blunt and Lily Allen, co-founded Rocket Sports Management, and worked with brands including Ford, Vodafone, Lexus and TAG. He was Executive Producer of Elton John’s final North American show, broadcast live on Disney+, and helped oversee the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which grossed just under $1 billion.
Lloyd-Davies has recently supported Sela’s investment in The Hunger Games: On Stage, the new theatrical adaptation running at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, and will oversee international IP development across sport and entertainment.
Hepworth brings more than 30 years of financial leadership across global sports, media and entertainment organisations, including Six Nations Rugby, World Athletics and the NBA. He will manage global finance and commercial operations.
Owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), Sela worked on several major boxing events this year, including Terence Crawford vs Saul “Canelo” Alvarez at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada, and the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn fights in April and November.
On the new appointments, Sela CEO international Stewart Hosford said, “Their combined track record, from global tours to international sports organisations and rights holders, will be instrumental as we expand Sela’s international footprint and elevate the standard of live experiences worldwide.”
