SC Productions marked its 20th anniversary with an industry event at TramShed in Cardiff on 23 April, bringing together collaborators from across the live events sector.
The company was founded in 2006 by Sarah Hemsley-Cole (pictured) and specialises in site, production, event and artist liaison management. It has delivered concerts, festivals and cultural events across Wales and the UK, with capacities ranging from 5,000 to 90,000.
Speaking at the event, Hemsley-Cole said it was an opportunity to reconnect with people she has worked with throughout her career: “We haven’t had a big shindig since Covid. It’s important to reconnect, we all need each other in this game. It’s been a great opportunity to bring together everyone we have a relationship with.”
SC Production’s many projects have included stadium shows for Stereophonics, Ed Sheeran and Sam Fender, as well as the annual Urdd Eisteddfod festival. During the pandemic, Hemsley-Cole produced the opening event for Coventry’s UK City of Culture 2021 and led the We Make Events Cymru campaign, working with government and industry groups.
Speaking at the event, KMJ Entertainment Group CEO Stuart Galbraith spoke of the many projects he had worked on on with Hemsley-Cole. “The first shows that Sarah and I did were at Cardiff Castle and Warwick for bands like Simply Red and Stereophonics,” he said. “Since then we have done many shows in Wales and the wider UK.”
