Ticketmaster has promoted Sarah Slater to managing director of its UK operation.
Slater was promoted to Ticketmaster UK senior vice president music & festivals in January, and has been with the Live Nation-owned ticketing giant for more than a decade. Other previous roles include VP music & festivals and VP client development music & festivals.
A member of the Access All Areas 100, a community of 100 of the most prominent and influential senior leadership figures in the live events sector, Slater has long pushed for greater gender equality in the live music industry, and in 2023 was appointed to the inaugural Board of Advisors of the Network of Women In Events (NOWIE).
In a recent interview with AAA Slater said, “We’ve made progress, but there’s still work to do to ensure equal opportunities, recognition, and representation. The industry thrives on diverse perspectives, and creating a culture of support and mentorship is key. I’ve been lucky to have great mentors, and I want to do the same for others. Equality isn’t just a women’s issue, it makes the whole industry stronger.”
Former Ticketmaster UK MD Andrew Parsons was appointed Ticketmaster regional vice president of Europe, Middle East and Africa in June.
