Olympia Events has appointed Ticketmaster as its official ticketing partner for all live events held at the London venue.
Under the agreement, Ticketmaster will provide ticketing services across Olympia’s programme of music, sport, entertainment and cultural events. The partnership is intended to support audience engagement, ticket sales and event planning as Olympia prepares for the next phase of its redevelopment.
Ticketmaster’s platform will be used to manage ticket sales across a range of event formats, including high-demand concerts, general admission events and timed-entry experiences.
Ticketmaster is part of the Legends Global portfolio and currently works with venues across Europe.
The announcement comes ahead of the completion of Olympia’s £1.3 billion redevelopment project. The redevelopment includes upgrades to its historic event spaces alongside the addition of a convention centre, hospitality venues, hotels and public areas.
According to Olympia, the expanded site is expected to attract around 10 million visitors annually.
Olympia Events oversees operations across the venue’s heritage halls, International Convention Centre (ICC) and The Addison lounge.
“As Olympia’s transformation nears completion, it was important to partner with a ticketing provider that shared our long-term vision and can support the innovative planning, on-sale strategies and event delivery required to attract major UK and international events,” said Olympia Events business development director Gareth Lloyds “As we continue to expand our events offering, we’re excited to tap into Ticketmaster’s extensive outreach and programming capabilities – connecting us with millions of fans globally.”
Ticketmaster UK MD Sarah Slater said, “Olympia does it all – live music, sports, exhibitions, immersive experiences and more – which makes this partnership so unique. Few venues demand that breadth from a ticketing partner and supporting that range of events is exactly what our technology is built for.”
