Production Park, a stage and screen production campus based in West Yorkshire, has received planning approval for the next phase of its expansion.
The development will increase the site’s footprint to nearly 30 acres. Plans include two new studios, additional space for supply-chain companies and expanded training and education facilities.
The expansion will add more than 70,000 sq ft of commercial space, including tenant units, a training and performance centre and additional teaching space for the Academy of Live Technology (ALT), the campus-based higher education provider.
Production Park has served as a production base for live entertainment, television and film projects. The site is home to companies including TAIT, ROE Visual and 4Wall Entertainment, alongside HIVE and Precision Devices.
Production Park was established more than 20 years ago as a rehearsal studio serving European music tours. It has since expanded into a campus supporting touring, broadcast and brand productions. Artists who have rehearsed at the site include P!NK, Lady Gaga, Metallica, Cirque du Soleil, Coldplay and The 1975.
“This expansion marks an important next phase for Production Park as we continue to thoughtfully widen opportunities for industry to produce, educate and connect here”, said Production CEO Lee Brooks. “For over 20 years we’ve built an environment and culture that understands the process and value of the stage and screen industries.”
Adam Davis, CEO of TAIT CEO Adam Davis said, “TAIT’s presence on Production Park provides design, engineering, manufacturing, integration, project management, training and support for our global clients. Production Park isn’t just a global location for us; it’s a vibrant community we’re proud to be part of.”
