Oak View Group (OVG) International has appointed Donna Cross as director of business development.

Cross will be responsible for supporting OVG EVP venue management Rebecca Kane Burton in developing OVG’s venue management and hospitality portfolio across the UK and Europe. She is the latest in a series of NEC Group execs to join the burgeoning venue owner/operator.

Cross joins OVG following 12 years with the NEC Group, the past seven as sales director. Earlier this month OVG owned Co-op Live (cap. 23,500) arena announced the appointment of Ben Sharman as its new director of booking, he was an 11 year veteran of the NEC Group. In October, former NEC Group MD of arenas Guy Dunstan joined Co-op Live as its general manager and senior vice president.

Over the past decade, Cross has worked on national and international projects delivering sales strategies and delivery for venues including The ICC Birmingham, The NEC, and The Vox Conference Centre.

OVG said Cross will work closely with Rebecca Kane Burton and Josh Pell, president of premium experiences and global strategy.

Cross said, “I’m very excited to bring my expertise to this strong team to deliver world-class experiences across amazing venues.”

Kane Burton said, “We are thrilled to have Donna join us at OVG International. She brings a wealth of valuable industry experience and a great network of clients that will help us as we rapidly expand our venue management services both here and abroad.”
