Olympia is to host Premier Padel P1, the UK’s first professional padel tournament.

The tournament is scheduled for 4-9 August as part of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour and will take place at Olympia’s heritage halls, managed by Olympia Events.

Premier Padel P1 will be delivered by live sports and entertainment operator Sela in collaboration with Premier Padel, and with support from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).

The announcement comes as the West London venue nears the completion of its £1.3 billion redevelopment, which includes new live event spaces, conference rooms, bars and restaurants.The project is expected to generate £600m for the economy annually.

Olympia said hosting Premier Padel P1 forms part of its strategy to diversify the range of events held at the venue.
