Access All AreasImmersive, arts and music event promoter From The Fields is celebrating having reached the landmark of seeing the one millionth ticket sold for its events, and having been announced Promoter of the Year at the Access All Areas Awards.
The Cumbria and Manchester-based company founded in 2006 by Andy Smith and Ben Robinson, now has 13 full-time staff and runs five large-scale events annually. Its events include the award-winning Kendal Calling (cap. 40,000) festival in the Lake District, Bournemouth Arts by the Sea, and light trails Christmas at Bute Park in Cardiff, Northern Lights Newcastle and Northern Lights Leeds.
Kendal Calling recently sold out in record time, three weeks after the line-up was announced.
Smith said, “A million tickets sold! From Kendal Calling’s humble beginnings in a small field in 2006 to our dazzling Christmas trails lighting up Leeds, Cardiff, and Newcastle tonight, it’s all thanks to our incredible team and wonderful audience.
