On The Beach festival generated more than £8.3 million for Brighton’s local economy in 2025, according to an Economic and Social Impact Report produced by Marshall Regen.
The report found the event attracted over 59,000 attendees, with around two thirds travelling from outside Brighton. It said visitor spending contributed to local businesses, accommodation and hospitality sectors.
The analysis estimated the festival supported more than 300 jobs and generated over £3 million in direct visitor spending.
On The Beach, which launched in 2021, takes place on Brighton seafront and is due to return in July for its sixth edition. The 2026 programme includes headline performances from Fatboy Slim, The Maccabees, Madness and Moby.
The report follows Live Nation’s recent acquisition of the festival’s promoters Louder Entertainment. Louder’s portfolio also includes Worried About Henry, Piano People and Electric Bay Festival.
A spokesperson for On The Beach said: “As all year round local operators, On The Beach has always been about more than just the shows – it’s about contributing to the wider life of the city. This report really underlines the role the festival now plays within Brighton.”
