Live Nation Entertainment has acquired Louder Entertainment, the independent UK promoter behind a year-round programme of club and live music events including Brighton’s On The Beach.

Louder’s portfolio includes electronic and live music brands and events such as Worried About Henry, Piano People, Electric Bay Festival in Torquay and On The Beach festival. First launched in 2021, On The Beach this year includes sold out shows with Fatboy Slim, Moby and Madness. While Louder directors Christie Liddicott and Daniel Newman remain, according to Companies House, as of 1 April Live Nation SVP finance UK & Ireland Lynn Lavelle, Live Nation Entertainment international group counsel Selina Emeny and its COO UK & Ireland Stuart Douglas have joined as directors of Louder.

Live Nation issued a statement outlining that it aims to help Louder build on its current momentum and invest further in its team. The extent of the stake that Live Nation has taken in Louder Entertainment Ltd has not been publicised but according to the Companies House PSC02 filing it is between 50% and 75%.

A Live Nation spokesperson said, “Louder has built a strong reputation through a distinctive mix of club culture, contemporary live music and outdoor shows. This investment complements our existing business well, in a space where Louder has real expertise and a clear identity.”

A spokesperson for Louder added, “This investment gives us added support as we move into our next chapter, while staying true to who we are. We’ll continue to operate with the same team and creative identity, with extra backing to help us grow and keep delivering the electronic dance music events we’re known for.”
