Aston Villa Football Club’s warehouse has been equipped with the UK’s largest indoor fan zone screen, installed by LED specialists ADI, as part of the club’s ongoing regeneration programme.
The 90.3m² LED screen, using ADI’s MT 2.5mm technology, has been installed at the rear of the main stage in the warehouse adjacent to Villa Park (pictured), home of Aston Villa football club.
ADI said the ultra-wide display can function as a backdrop for live entertainment or as a screen for presentations, screenings, exhibitions and conferences. The installation is intended to support both matchday and year-round event programming.
The screen allows the club to display content beyond the standard 16:9 format, providing a digital platform for matchdays, commercial activations, sponsor messaging, and interactive content.
The project is part of a long-term partnership between Aston Villa and ADI, which spans over 25 years. The club has reported a 453% increase in matchday revenue over the past seven years and recorded the strongest matchday revenue growth among the top 20 European clubs by the 2024-25 season.
This installation is part of a broader programme at Villa Park that includes over 750m² of new LED screens and signage installed during the 2024-25 season, along with production and maintenance of matchday content and a UEFA-compliant digiBOARD perimeter system.
Aston Villa COO Ben Hatton said, “The ultrawide format strengthens our warehouse offering, enhances the matchday experience and provides a flexible platform for future activations as part of our ongoing regeneration.”
ADI head of engagement & client services Claire Fitzgerald-Firth said, “Using ADI’s MT Series of LED technology, Aston Villa now boasts the UK’s largest indoor fan zone screen. The scale and flexibility of the digital display provides the club with a powerful new platform to enhance fan engagement while creating additional commercial value”
