PLASA has teamed up with LIVE Green to gauge attitudes to sustainability, from across the live events industry.
The 2026 Sustainability Survey has been designed to map the industry’s progress towards sustainability and net zero, pin down what professionals are prioritising, and identify what’s driving and/or blocking progress.
Responses are anonymous, and the survey closes on 18 November. The results will form a public report due in January.
The Professional Lighting And Sound Association (PLASA) is one of the 15 member associations of LIVE (Live music Industry Venues & Entertainment), which also include the Concert Promoters Association, National Arenas Association and Association of Independent Festivals. All LIVE association members have ratified the Beyond Zero Declaration, which aims for net zero emissions by 2030.
LIVE Green impact consultant Ross Patel said, “We want to enable all in the live music industry to commit to climate action by providing the necessary support, resources, and advice. This survey will give those in our industry a clear view of the progress being made, while identifying and addressing obstacles to accelerating action.”
PLASA sustainability consultant Phoebe Currie said the survey will offer “a holistic view of where our industry stands”, from manufacturers and rental companies to production crews and freelance technicians. “The more voices we hear, the clearer the picture of what’s working and where the industry needs to go next,” she added.
