Having brought Barack Obama to The O2’s stage, Fane Group has announced it is taking McLaren Racing to the London venue.

The spoken word, literary and cultural live events promoter, part of KMJ Entertainment, is to stage McLaren Racing LIVE in Conversation at The O2 on 14 December.

It follows the F1 75 Live show at The O2 in February last year, which was Formula One’s first-ever season launch event and marked F1’s 75th anniversary.

McLaren Racing LIVE in Conversation will feature team drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, principal Andrea Stella and CEO Zak Brown.

Fane, which specialises in producing and curating spoken word events, was acquired by KMJ Entertainment-owner Deutsche Entertainment AG (DEAG) in October 2021. In November, the German-based promoter, ticketing and venue giant acquired the remaining stake to complete a 100% acquisition of Fane.

Fane Group CEO Alex Fane said, “Fane has shared the stage with some of sport’s greatest figures, but McLaren Racing LIVE in Conversation is in a category of its own. To have Zak Brown, Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and Andrea Stella all together at The O2, for one night only, in the city that loves racing – this is truly something special.”
