Max SteventonThe event delivery partner for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Trivandi said it aims to fill 200 jobs before the Games begin in July.
Trivandi, who provide advisory, design and delivery services for major events, said it wants the majority of roles to be filled by Glaswegians. Opportunities will be dedicated for unemployed residents, students, education providers and people with accessibility needs.
Jobs include venue management, spectator services and accreditation with support provided through the Trivandi Academy which offers expert-led event delivery training.
Trivandi were appointed as Commonwealth Games event delivery in partner last August. This came after the Australian state of Victoria withdrew from hosting the 2026 event, after which the Commonwealth Games Federation offered Scotland £100 million from compensation owed by the Victorian government.
Glasgow’s Commonwealth Games will take place from 23 July-2 August. Over 3,000 athletes and 74 nations are expected to compete in the UK’s biggest sporting event this summer.
Glasgow last hosted the Commonwealth Games in 2014, costing the city £543 million.
