Access All AreasThe Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow has announced the largest business investment since the opening of the OVO Hydro in 2013.
SEC said the 14,300-capacity arena will benefit significantly from its £4 million ‘SEConnect’ project involving a significant upgrade to the SEC’s IT infrastructure, including enhanced and more secure wireless coverage.
Created in partnership with HPE Aruba, The SEC said SEConnect means the campus is now better equipped than ever to enhance the event experience with the ability to cater to events requiring 10 times the technological demands of recent large-scale events such COP26, which it hosted in 2021.
“SEConnect is a transformational step in our mission to elevate live event experiences at the Scottish Event Campus,” said SEC MD of strategy and people Debbie McWilliams. “This £4 million investment delivers high-performance connectivity across the entire venue, ensuring artists, crews, and fans stay seamlessly connected – backstage, on stage, in the front row, and beyond.”
