The Southampton Boat Show launched this weekend, with more than 120 boats scheduled to make their debut over the 10-day festival. Access has an exclusive video.

The 47th annual show, Europe’s largest outdoor festival of boating, features rock pools, corals and anemones in its own purpose-built Aquarium, on-the-water activities including an adventure river canoe ride and stand up paddleboarding and the opportunity to explore ships on sea, including the Earl of Pembroke and the Red Arrow J109 yacht.

Formula 1 and former Gadget Show presenter Suzi Perry opened the launch on Friday 11 September, along with Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro.

“This year’s Southampton Boat Show will be spectacular, with exciting attractions, thousands of UK and international boat and brands on display, over 120 boats making their debut, and the opportunity for people to get out onto the water for free,” said Murray Ellis, managing director of organisers British Marine Boat Shows.

The Southampton Boat Show continues through 20 September.
