The Beatson Cancer Charity has partnered with the Glasgow conference, exhibitions and live events venue, the SECC.

The charity will participate in various SECC conferences and events. SECC staff will also volunteer and take part in team challenge events for Beatson.

The Beatson Cancer Charity provides funding for patient and family support services and facilities, medical equipment, research, and staff training and development. The charity already brings in £800,000 every year towards funding 19 specialist posts, including nursing, radiography, physics and research-based staff.

“The SECC is delighted to have appointed the Beatson Cancer Charity as a charity partner,” said Kathleen Warden, director of conference sales at the SECC. “Our venue plays host to a diverse range of medical conferences, bringing thousands of experts to the SECC and Glasgow every year. By association, this new charity aligns perfectly to our business.”
