Experience agency We Are Collider staged one of the UK’s biggest esports tournaments last week, Red Bull’s Wololo.
The event was staged across several London venues. Shoreditch’s White Rabbit studio hosted the early rounds while Luxe Cinema in Leicester Square staged the quarter finals and semi finals. The final took place at The Royal Albert Hall (pictured) to a sell out audience. The final also included a 63-piece orchestra performance.
The tournament, which opened on 1 April, was live streamed with over 60 hours of content going out in multiple languages to a global audience.
We Are Collider said, as event organisers, it was responsible for crew management, production across the venues, broadcast facilitation and set design.
We Are Collider CEO and founder Anton Jerges, said, “We love a challenge and relished the opportunity to turn this year’s Wololo into a hybrid cultural moment that saw gaming enter establishment institutions like the Royal Albert Hall. There’s something very magical about mixing different worlds while retaining gaming authenticity.”
