The Jockey Club has completed a group-wide rollout of Halo Solutions’ incident management platform across all 14 of its racecourses under a multi-year national contract.

The Halo System has been used across every Jockey Club racecourse for meetings since January 2026, following two years of on-site delivery at major fixtures including the Cheltenham Festival, the Grand National and the Derby.

The partnership began in October 2024, with Halo providing incident management support at the Cheltenham Festival in March 2025. Further delivery followed at Aintree’s Grand National and Epsom Downs’ Derby later that year.

The rollout covers racecourses including Cheltenham, Aintree, Epsom Downs, Haydock Park, Newmarket, Sandown Park, Warwick, Nottingham, Carlisle and Market Rasen.

The Halo System connects racecourse teams with police, medical teams, on-course security and other operational partners. Its app allows multiple agencies to log and track activity in real time, with information fed into a central control room dashboard.

The system also provides an audit trail covering incidents, tasks and responses.

The Jockey Club group head of crowd safety and security Sarah Walters said, “We’re pleased to be working with Halo. This partnership supports the consistency we’re building across our racecourses.”

Halo Solutions CEO Lloyd Major said, “Racing is an important growth area for Halo, and this partnership with The Jockey Club is a major step in strengthening our position across the sector. It reflects the growing demand for incident management systems that can support complex venues, multiple stakeholders and rising expectations around safety, security and accountability.

“If every course records, manages and reports incidents differently, it becomes harder to compare risk, identify trends, share learning and evidence consistent standards.”
