GL events has recently secured a three-year contract with Grandstand Media to support the Horse of the Year Show.

The collaboration was launched at October’s Horse of the Year event, which took place at the NEC Birmingham. The event saw GL events accommodate over 1,500 visitors by installing temporary grandstand seating in the TopSpec Arena.

GL events will be supporting the event from 2020-2021, by creating a bespoke spectator seating area in hall two of the NEC. 2019’s brief included the creation of two 54m by 2.7m grandstands. GL events also created front access walkways so viewers could easily access their seats.

GL events UK group managing director, Scott Jameson, said: “This is another important contract for us, again demonstrating the quality of our grandstand seating and the trust our clients invest into GL events’ project management,”

“It’s a competitive market, but we believe that event organisers prioritise the right product, supported by the right team.”

Operations Manager at Grandstand Media, Jane Warmington, added: “Horse of the Year 2019 was a great success, offering outstanding equestrian entertainment and an unbeatable day out. We receive large numbers of visitors to the show every year, therefore it’s important to offer spectators a great experience. To do this we need partners like GL events who have the people and expertise to support our ambitions.”
