Access attended the re-launch of Historic Royal Palaces venue Banqueting House last night.

The venue was closed for three months this year for renovation work, which included cleaning the Rubens ceiling, installing new windows and adding a range of wireless LED uplights.

Urban Caprice catered the Banqueting House Supper Club to celebrate the re-launch, serving 90 exclusive guests a menu of mussels, English asparagus, sea bass and English rhubarb and custard.

Meanwhile, classical duo The Ayoub Sisters performed alongside the London Contemporary Voices, who specialise in performing a cappella arrangements of pop hits.

“We had such a wonderful evening celebrating our re-opening following a brief closure for essential restoration work. We have a show-stopping calendar of events coming up and we are looking forward to working with our clients to host some spectacular occasions at the venue.

“As an independent charity receiving no Government or Crown funding, all income to fund restoration work is raised from a range of activities including ticket sales, retail and catering, membership, sponsorship, donations, as well as functions and events. Our Banqueting House Supper Club provided the perfect opportunity to show guests exactly how this money is used.”
