Alexandra Palace’s Fireworks & Drone Festival will return on the weekend of 7 and 8 November, with a new Family Fun Day format introduced on the Sunday.

The event previously took place across Friday and Saturday but will move to a Saturday and Sunday format for 2026.

Saturday will retain the festival’s existing format, with an 8pm fireworks and drone display alongside DJs, a bonfire, funfair rides, ice skating and street food. Eats Everything will headline the music programme.

The Great Hall will host a German Bier Festival featuring oompah bands, live music and a Queen tribute.

Sunday will be aimed at families, with the fireworks and drone display brought forward to 6pm and the event operating at a reduced capacity. The Sunday programme will include a children’s rave, funfair rides, ice skating, a firepit, street food and Barrioke with Shaun Williamson, who has appeared in EastEnders and Extras.

The drone display will be produced by Celestial, which will return for a third year following its appearance as a runner-up on Britain’s Got Talent 2026. Hundreds of drones will be used as part of the display, which will be accompanied by a soundtrack before the fireworks.

Sunday attendees will also be able to purchase access to a premium viewing area, while SUMMIT – Ally Pally Rooftop Adventure will offer visitors the opportunity to watch the display from the Alexandra Palace rooftop.

Fireworks have been staged at Alexandra Palace since the nineteenth century. The venue said the event is London’s longest-running fireworks event.

In February, Alexandra Palace featured in AAA’s Explores video series.

Alexandra Park and Palace director of events and festivals Simon Fell said, “Moving to Saturday and Sunday has given us a great opportunity to rethink the weekend. Saturday is our big festival party night, while on Sunday, we’re reducing capacity and bringing the show forward, so families have more space and time to enjoy everything the Fireworks and Drone Festival has to offer.

“The important thing for us is that everyone gets the full Ally Pally spectacle, with fireworks and drones the same on both days; and we can create and programme a different atmosphere with activities around them.”
