Deutsche Entertainment AG (DEAG) has reported record revenue and earnings in its 2025 financial year.
The pan-European promoter, ticketing and venue giant that counts the UK’s KMJ Entertainment among its many interests, said its revenues was up 33% to €490 million during the period, with €167.2m attributable to the fourth quarter.
It has reported EBITDA of €32.1m, more than double the €14.4 achieved the prior year. Some 12m tickets were sold during the year, up from 11m in 2024. DEAG said that by the end of 2025 it had sold around 3m tickets for events scheduled to take place in 2026.
DEAG, which has proved acquisitive in recent years, obtained a majority stake in German heavy metal festival Rockharz festival last year. It also increased its stake in Fane Productions, a promoter that specialises in spoken word and literary events as part of KMJ. DEAG said it intends to drive further growth via mergers and acquisitions.
Among the many touring artists whose show were promoted by DEAG companies during the year were Ed Sheeran, Sam Fender, Stereophonics, Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson, Maite Kelly, Tream, Böhse Onkelz and Till Lindemann.
The UK-based businesses owned by DEAG sit under the KMJ Entertainment umbrella, and include Kilimanjaro Live, Regular Music, Form, Singular Artists, Matterhorn, Showplanr and Stage2View; spoken word producers Fane and How To Academy; theatrical companies Flying Music and JAS Theatricals; ticket companies Gigantic, MyTicket and Tickets.ie; Belladrum festival; exhibition venue Arches London Bridge and production company Kontour.
DEAG CEO Detlef Kornett said, “The measures we implemented in the transformation year 2024 to enhance our competitiveness, profitability and efficiency had a clearly positive impact in financial year 2025. We are very pleased with the strong business performance, to which all parts of our Group contributed equally. DEAG is therefore very well positioned to sustainably continue its organic and inorganic growth strategy trajectory going forward.”
