Festival Republic’s multi-venue Brighton festival The Great Escape (TGE) has announced an additional 175 new acts on this year’s line-up.
Due to take place on 14-17 May with more than 700 shows across 35 venues, TGE’s latest wave of acts announced brings the total number so far to 450. They include established and emerging talent from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, France, Japan, Ireland and the USA.
Newly revealed additions include Skunk Anansie (pictured), Badger, Blue Lab Beats, Sim0ne, Goddess, Mechatok, CLT DRP, The Molotovs and Nia Smith.
TGE has also announced the first wave of artists for The Late Escape – its after-hours programme, spotlighting electronic and club talent, which will run from 11.30pm to 4am.
The Live Nation event will once again include the TGE Conference, which will see industry topics debated by representatives from organisations including BBC Radio 1, SoundCloud, MIDiA Research, Songkick and PPL.
Among the keynote speakers will be musician, actor, and writer, Rizzle Kick’s Jordan Stephens, broadcaster, footballer and DJ Pat Nevin, along with Cocteau Twins member and Bella Union founder Simon Raymonde.
