The Luton Hoo Estate is to host a month-long Christmas-themed event involving live performances, ice skating, a light trail and other festivities.
TAG Live CEO Andy Mills-Brown said the aim is to produce an event that is ‘genuinely different’ and makes the site consisting of a 15 acres area of the historic estate.
Located between Luton in Bedfordshire and Harpenden in Hertfordshire, the estate has been as filming location for Four Weddings and a Funeral and James Bond films, and includes parkland designed by Capability Brown. In October 2025, the estate was closed by owner the Arora Group prior to a major refurbishment project.
IMG’s Christmas at Luton Hoo Estate is set to run on selected dates between 4 December and 3 January. It will include a mile-long light trail through the estate’s Walled Garden, which will also house a temporary skating rink.
The Bedfordshire-based live entertainment and events business, founded in 2013 by Mills-Brown, said it will provide Starlight Sessions at the event for SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) guests and their families to provide them with a calmer way to experience the festivities. The SEND-focused openings will operate at 50% capacity with quieter audio and the option to enjoy the event at a slower pace.
“The scale and character of Luton Hoo Estate gives us an amazing canvas to work with and we’re thrilled to be opening the gates and inviting people to come and discover Christmas here for themselves,” said Mills-Brown.
Luton Hoo Estate CEO Edward Phillips added, “Christmas at Luton Hoo Estate will bring together the character and history of the grounds with light, entertainment and festive experiences, and we are incredibly excited to see the Estate transformed for Christmas.”
