Sadler’s Wells Theatre in Islington has announced the completion of its newly refurbished 60sqm event space, The Kahn.

The space has been upgraded to provide an event venue that makes the most of the natural light, and has been designed with maximum flexibility in mind.

The space can accommodate up to 56 people theatre-style or 25 boardroom-style and is equipped with new furniture, a plasma screen, portable PA system and Wi-Fi.

The Kahn is situated behind the Fox Garden Court Café, and has a collapsible wall, which can be used to connect the two spaces for a catering offering.

Kelly McGibney, events executive (corporate) at Sadler’s Wells said: “Each area has been designed to be flexible with the versatility to cater for all types of events from corporate to artistic and private gatherings. We are fully focused on upgrading the technology and we have also introduced energy saving LED lighting and other green features. We are also committed to ensuring accessibility for all.

“With its clever use of natural light and modern flexible space, the Kahn is ideal for daytime events and an excellent addition to the current choice of newly refurbished rooms and spaces at Sadler’s Wells.”

The completion of The Kahn follows £7.3m of improvements made at Sadler’s Wells last year, which focused on upgrading the technology in the theatre and a number of key sustainability initiatives.
