Glastonbury Festival has announced that Sir Rod Stewart will play the Sunday teatime legend slot at the 2025 event, marking his first performance at Worthy Farm since headlining the Pyramid Stage in 2002.
Stewart, who has sold more than 250 million records worldwide, said, “I’m proud, ready and more than able to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June.”
Earlier this year, Stewart’s Swing Fever album, a collaboration with Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, garnered him his eleventh No. 1 album in the UK – a feat he shares with David Bowie, Taylor Swift and U2.
Glastonbury Festival’s Emily Eavis previously announced that the event will take a fallow year in 2026.
In other major festival lineup news, Parklife Festival has announced its first headliner for 2025 – Charli XCX, while Pulp will headline the opening night of the Tramlines Festival in Sheffield next summer, and Kasabian, The Courteeners, Nothing But Thieves and Bloc Party will headline next year’s Truck Festival in Oxfordshire.
