Max SteventonThe Production Services Association (PSA) has partnered with onboard:earth to help members reduce travel emissions across the live events supply chain.
The partnership will provide PSA members with access to sustainable travel resources, carbon data collection tools and guidance on reducing the environmental impact of travel, which the organisations identify as a significant contributor to event carbon footprints.
Members will also have access to onboard’s Trees+ programme, which supports ecosystem restoration and carbon offsetting projects for unavoidable travel emissions.
Onboard:earth has worked with the live events industry since 2015 to measure, reduce and offset the environmental impact of travel. The organisation said its members have collectively offset 18,314 tonnes of CO2 through verified projects and raised more than £860,000 for environmental restoration.
The new PSA and onboard resources hub includes guidance on sustainable travel for events, travel data collection tools, a carbon calculator and webinar resources. The PSA will also host further webinars on the topic from September 2026.
“As an industry, we have a collective responsibility, as freelancers and as production companies, to make a positive impact on the environment,” said PSA general manager Hannah Ratcliffe. “Partnering with onboard gives our members a legitimate, verified route to offsetting their travel carbon, helping protect the planet and safeguard it for future generations.”
Onboard:earth communications manager Bethan Riach said, “Travel accounts for the vast majority of the live event sector’s carbon footprint, and real change can only happen when the entire supply chain works together.
