Max SteventonOff Grid attracted 2,500 people to its first edition at a woodland site outside Sutton Coldfield over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The one-day electronic music festival was organised by Birmingham-based DNB Collective, Lab11 and RocknRolla, with sets from Hannah Wants, Todd Edwards, Sam Divine, Majestic and Alex Mills.
Headliner Example was unable to arrive in time for his scheduled set due to weather-related disruption, with Majestic closing the festival instead.
Organisers said the event will return in 2027 for a second edition, with plans for a larger site and programme.
The festival also included wellness activities and products from The Healthy Shop, while more than 100 independent businesses from across the West Midlands were involved in hospitality, production, safety and security.
Businesses involved included Colour Graphics, DMX Production, Green Power, HDT Security, NinetyFive Studios, Paul’s BBQ, Pizzamo and Star Carz.
Off Grid co-director Jack Young said, “The weather may have thrown everything at us, but our festival-goers and team were absolutely brilliant in dealing with the challenge. The atmosphere, energy and sense of community across the site were unforgettable.
“To see 2,500 people come together for our first edition, embrace the rain, and keep dancing and safe was beautiful. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved and excited about taking Off Grid to the next level in 2027.”
