Simon Moran’s SJM Concerts, a key player behind the Oasis Live ’25 Tour, has been granted a license to host concerts at Knebworth.

Just days before the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ two landmark, 125,000-capacity, shows at Knebworth House, North Hertfordshire Council has granted the band’s promoter a premises licence for events with an attendance of up to 125,000 at the venue.

While Moran declined to comment, Knebworth House MD Martha Lytton Cobbold said she was delighted that the application has been granted: “We very much appreciate the support of our local authority to enable us to continue to host remarkable live music events, such as Iron Maiden’s EddFest recently. We would be delighted to host Oasis again here. Fingers crossed.”

The licence enables live music to run from midday until midnight, with the supply of alcohol and playing of recorded music until 3am.

For more than 50 years, Kenworth has staged many landmark concerts including Led Zeppelin’s last UK show with their original line-up and Queen’s final concert with Freddie Mercury. Robbie Williams surpassed Oasis’ record-breaking attendance of 250,000 at the venue by playing to 375,000 over one weekend in August, 2003. Prior to bringing Iron Maiden to the venue last month, Stuart Galbraith’s Kilimanjaro Live has worked on projects at Knebworth including staging rock event Sonisphere Festival there four times.
