Max SteventonEvent crewing company Gallowglass is to provide vehicle and driver support for Walk92; a fundraising initiative that sees partipants walk 2,000 miles between the 92 football league clubs in 92 days.
Organised by Sport for Good, the challenge involves Xavier Wiggins walking the equivalent of a marathon a day for 92 consecutive days, covering multiple routes across England. Two of the most demanding sections are from Barrow AFC to Newcastle United, spanning 110 miles across the Pennines with exposed ridges and rolling moorland, and from Bournemouth to Exeter via Exmoor and onto Plymouth, covering 115 miles of continuous hills and open terrain.
Gallowglass said it will provide professional vehicle and driver support to ensure safe passage throughout these sections.
“These are not just long stretches, they’re brutal,” said Walk92 co-founder Simon Burton. “High Pennine passes, Exmoor hills, endless miles of exposed moor and potential rotten weather. Having Gallowglass alongside means Xavier won’t just get through them, he’ll do so safely, with the kind of professional backup you need in such a challenging environment.”

Funds are being raised for charities including Street Soccer Foundation and Dons Local Action Group.
