Bruno Mars has set a Ticketmaster record for the most tickets sold in a single day, following the announcement of his first tour in more than a decade.

More than 2.1 million tickets were sold on the first day of sales for Mars’ The Romantic Tour, which includes six dates at London’s Wembley Stadium (cap. 90,000), according to the ticketing company

The tour, announced last week, has since been expanded to 70 dates across North America, Europe, and the UK, with performances scheduled in both arenas and stadiums.

Additional shows were added in several major markets, including Las Vegas, Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit, Miami, Paris, Vancouver, Milan, and Madrid. The number of dates was also increased to four nights each in Toronto, Amsterdam, East Rutherford, and Los Angeles.

The tour marks Mars’ first headlining run since the end of the 24K Magic World Tour, which concluded in December 2018. That tour grossed more than $367 million, ranking among the highest-grossing concert tours to date.
