Drapes and rigging supplier Blackout were asked by HPower to dress the Royal Box and Castle Arena stage at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, part of the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations.

The Blackout team supplied 18m of red velour swags to adorn the Royal box and black drape masking for the Castle Arena’s main stage.

The show, which took place on 11-15 May, played host to more than 3,000 horses and included 250 jumping, showing and carriage driving classes. The event also celebrated the Queen’s reign with an evening of storytelling looking back over her life.

Chris Brain, Blackout project director, commented “Having worked with HPower and Royal Windsor Horse Show before it was a privilege to be involved with a live event marking such a pivotal moment in our monarch’s history.

“Ahead of our three-day install, we worked closely with the production team to ensure that the Royal Box, main stage and screens were all dressed to a level mirroring the scale of such an occasion. With this year’s show bringing an extra level of attention to detail, we are proud to be included as a trusted supplier.”
