AEG Presents has acquired Paris-based Auguri Productions as part of its ongoing expansion plan in France.

The concert, venue and festival giant said the move has been made to strengthen its ability to identify, develop and support local talent.

Auguri Productions was founded by Charles Bensmaine in 1997 and has since helped launch and develop the careers of artists from the French and French-speaking music scene including David Guetta, Stromae, Angèle, Louane, Julien Doré, Dominique A, Philippe Katerine, Vanessa Paradis, Thomas Dutronc and Jain.

AEG said the acquisition would lead to new development opportunities for its artists and help connect local talent with global audiences.

“France has an extraordinary depth of artistry, a vibrant live music culture and a generation of artists with real international potential,” said AEG Presents Europe president and CEO Adam Wilkes. “Charles and the Auguri team have earned their reputation by recognising those artists early on and helping them build careers with lasting relevance. Bringing Auguri into AEG Presents deepens our roots in France and creates a meaningful bridge between that local expertise and our global platform. I’m thrilled to welcome Charles and the team as we build this next chapter together.”

“The addition of Auguri Productions to AEG Presents represents a major opportunity to strengthen our growth in the French market,” said AEG Presents France president Arnaud Meersseman. “Charles Bensmaine and his team bring unique expertise in artist development and career building. Their know-how is a perfect complement to our existing activities and will enable us to further strengthen our ability to identify and develop local talent, while offering artists new opportunities both in France and internationally.”

The deal is the latest move to expand AEG Presents’ European footprint, and follows the announcement of its acquisition last month of Greenhouse Talent – an independent concert and festival promoter operating in Benelux.
