Live events production, automation and staging giant TAIT has acquired Emmy Award-winning production studio and creative agency Silent House Group (SHG).

A long-established staging and automation provider for global touring productions, TAIT also works across theatres, theme parks, cruise ships, brand activations, and festivals worldwide. Goldman Sachs acquired a majority stake in TAIT from Providence Equity Partners in 2024.

In a statement, TAIT outlined that its acquisition of LA-based SHG, which designs, produces and contributes to large-scale events such as Tyler The Creator’s Chromakopia Tour and MDLBEAST’s enormous Soundstorm festival in Riyadh, will bring multiple benefits: “By joining together, TAIT and Silent House Group aim to seamlessly unify creative, technical, and delivery expertise to build productions at any scale, balancing creativity and practicality at the inception of the process. From initial ideas to the final show and beyond, their combined strengths will design and deliver smarter shows that are visually stunning and more cost-efficient.”

TAIT CEO Adam Davis said the new partnership will help its partners to collectively align the creative, technical, financial, and logistical reality of their projects.

SHG CEO Baz Halpin said TAIT has long been a trusted partner: “By formally aligning, we’re expanding what we can do together and streamlining the creative and technical process — allowing us to bring our clients’ ideas to life faster and more economically, without compromising the artistic vision. We look forward to unlocking the potential of live experiences with our fellow industry creatives and tapping into our new in-house capabilities with TAIT.”
