Paris festival We Love Green has announced a partnership with Groupe Combat and AEG Presents with a focus on international expansion.
The award-winning, 40,000-capacity, festival was founded by We Love Art’s Marie Sabot and the Because Group in 2011 and has since earned a reputation for being a platform for sustainable innovation in the live events industry.
The festival issued a statement in which it said the partnerships mark the beginning of a new chapter for We Love Green, with the ambition to amplify its impact, expand internationally, and strengthen its position as a platform for cultural and ecological innovation.
Since 2011, We Love Green has hosted French festival debuts by acts including Charli XCX, Rosalia, Jorja Smith and Lorde. As well as a focus on music and environmental sustainability, the event features plant-based gastronomy, a conference, a comedy stage and arts program. It has been powered by 100% renewable energy since the outset and was presented with the Green Operation Award by Yourope in 2024.
Groupe Combat is the co-producer of French festivals Rock en Seine, Golden Coast, La Route du Rock and Les Inrocks Festival.
“This partnership marks a new chapter in the history of We Love Green. It will help us amplify our values alongside partners who share our vision of a creative, responsible, and ever-evolving festival,” said Sabot.
Because Group founder Emmanuel de Buretel said, “This project has always been fueled by artistic ambition and environmental responsibility. We’re excited to now embed it within a collective momentum that opens up new possibilities.”
“This is more than a partnership, it is a strategic alliance that reflects our belief in the power of culture to drive change,” said Groupe Combat president Mathieu Pigasse. “At Groupe Combat, we are reaffirming our commitment to society, diversity and inclusion. We are also investing in cultural formats that reflect our times and help shape the future. With AEG at our side, we are bringing the scale, resources and ambition needed to elevate We Love Green while preserving its singular identity.”
AEG Presents chairman and CEO Jay Marciano said, “Emmanuel and the entire We Love Green team have built a festival that is one of the marquee live events in Europe. I’ve known Emmanuel for quite some time and have always respected his vision and taste. I’m delighted that we get to work together in this new partnership.”
