Access All AreasCo-op Live (cap. 23,500) arena operator Oak View Group (OVG) said the Manchester venue kicked off this month with the strongest week for ticket sales since the venue opened in May last year.
OVG said that during the week commencing 31 March, its Manchester arena saw more than 90,000 tickets sold for forthcoming events at the venue, which it claimed was the “highest ticket sales across all European venues” during the period.
The record sales came as two Lady Gaga shows in October sold out, and four shows by Chris Brown were announced – his only indoor appearances on the UK leg of the Breezy Bowl XX world tour.
Monday 31 March saw more than 46,000 tickets sold for shows at the venue, the highest number of tickets sold in a single day in Co-op Live’s history.
Forthcoming major events at the venue include exclusive UK arena appearances by Bruce Springsteen, Robbie Williams, Morrissey, and Burna Boy.
