Christopher BarrettIndependent UK event promoter and producer Labyrinth has unveiled plans to host six-day, open-air, live music series Labyrinth on the Thames at the Old Royal Naval College in London.
Kicking off with a headline show by GRAMMY Award-winning South African DJ Black Coffee on 1 August, the show series is scheduled to take place across the first two weekends in August at the UNESCO World Heritage site. Labyrinth on the Thames is expected to attract around 60,000 attendees for a line up of contemporary and established dance music acts.
The audio-visual elements of the events will be produced by High Scream, which has previously worked with events and venues including the Paris 2024 Olympics Closing Ceremony, Madison Square Garden and Coachella.
Labyrinth said it will partner with High Scream to celebrate the architectural beauty of the iconic heritage site while “embracing London’s vibrant culture and contemporary innovation”.
The promoter has promised it will roll out initiatives to ensure the local Greenwich community benefit from the event, including priority tickets for residents, partnerships with local suppliers, and collaborations with cultural institutions on opportunities for emerging talent and young people.
Labyrinth co-founders Michael Dicks and Nick Castleman issued a statement in which they said, “We’re beyond excited to be announcing Labyrinth on The Thames.
