The third wave of performers was confirmed today (8 May) for WOMAD 2014.
 
The 27 additional acts join the typically international line-up. Richard Thompson (US), Les Ambassadeurs (West Africa), Amjad Ali Khan (India), Public Service Broadcasting (UK), Shingai Shoniwa (UK) and the Hot 8 Brass Band (Jamaica), among many others, are set to play the festival.
 
WOMAD – the World of Music, Arts and Dance festival – celebrates eclectic, diverse music from international acts. Among the other countries represented in this third announcement are Sweden, Hungary, Finland, Senegal, Zimbabwe, Mexico, France and Venezuela.
 
For the 15th year running, BBC Radio 3 will be broadcasting live from the Charlton Park, Wiltshire festival.
 
WOMAD 2014 takes place 24-27 July.
