Event tech company Aventri has released The Top 100 Meeting and Event Venues in the United States, a free guide that highlights its top ten venue picks in each of its ten top-rated meeting and event cities.

Aventri’s full list of top ten cities for meetings and events are: Las Vegas, New York, San Diego, Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville, Phoenix, Washington, DC, and Dallas.

Also in the guide are activities and restaurants for attendees to enjoy during their stay.

Michael Burns, chief revenue officer at Aventri, commented: “Many studies show two factors are key to attendee satisfaction: venue location and activities in the host city.

“To that end, our new guide is a planner’s ultimate resource for 2019 events. It covers everything from finding the perfect city with the right restaurants and things to do, to securing a venue that can ‘wow’ every guest. Organisers will find what they need to pull off extraordinary events.”

The 44-page guide features a curated list of 100 venues in the 10 most sought-after event cities in the U.S. based on sourcing activity during the past year on the Aventri Strategic Venue Sourcing platform.

For each city, Aventri lists ten stand-out venues, selected for qualities which planners value. Criteria include capacity, amenities, uniqueness, proximity to local attractions and ability to create immersive, engaging attendee experiences.

The best-of-the-best list contains an eclectic mix. Organisers will find venues such as cathedrals, botanical gardens, wineries, casinos, cultural centres, famous baseball fields, museums, breweries, historic mansions, zoos, aircraft carriers…and of course inspired hotels and convention centres.

For the restaurant guide, Aventri interviewed chefs and managers at culinary hot spots in its top ten cities. These local experts share how they accommodate groups, where they get their inspiration, what they like best about their neighbourhood and city and more.

Featured restaurants include: Le Bernardin, New York City; Buddy V’s, Las Vegas; The Optimist, Atlanta; Adele’s, Nashville; Herb & Wood, San Diego; and Blue Door Kitchen & Garden, Chicago.
