Red Bull Music Festival London has revealed its inaugural event, set to take place at multiple venues across the city from August 20 to September 14.

Highlights include Aphex Twin playing his first London club show in almost a decade. The DJ and producer will appear at Printworks on 14 September. His last London show was in 2017 at Field Day.

Aphex Twin will perform on a custom-built set comprising more than 306 LED panels and lasers. Support will come from Afrodeutsche, Caterina Barbieri and Nihiloxica. Visual effects will be supplied by Weirdcore.

This UK iteration will feature music, panel discussions and exhibitions. Radio 1 Xtra’s Sian Andersion will chat to dancehall artist Spice about her career, while the British Library will host Coded Language, an event discussing the evolving lexicon of London’s music scene.

Fabric will host a three-room homage to UK bass, with sets from Blawan, Saoirse, Sherelle, Loefah and more.

Elsewhere, So Solid Crew, Ms Dynamite and Todd Edwards are among the garage favourites assembling in a south London car park for a celebration of UK garage — venue details will be revealed soon.

EartH, meanwhile, will host Round Robin, the event series which sees artists pair up for an improvised duet. It will feature Emma Jean-Thackray, Joe Armon-Jones, Laplux, Nabihah Iqbal and others.

Red Bull Sound System, which returns to Notting Hill Carnival for the 11th consecutive year, will also be part of the festival.
