EnTEEtainment has ceased its association with Glastonbury festival with immediate effect, citing ‘irreconcilable issues’.

Dick Tee, managing director of EnTEEtainment Ltd, has tendered his resignation as Pyramid and Other stage Production & Area manager.

After 18 years at the helm of Glastonbury Festival production, the veteran award winning production manager said he and his staff will cease their association with the festival with immediate effect.

In the past two years since Festival Republic ended its involvement with the festival there have been a series of management restructures and operational changes at Glastonbury, which Tee feels leave his team “unable to fulfil their role professionally”.

He added: “I am extremely sad and disappointed that my concerns regarding the way certain elements of the festival are now being structured and managed are not being adequately considered and dealt with, and as such I have found myself in an untenable position regarding my continuing role.”

Having taken over the production management of the two main stages in 1997, Tee’s role and influence continued to expand beyond the Pyramid and Other stages.

He directly assisted the area organisers at West Holts and John Peel Stages with developing their operations and in 2013 he joined the senior management team at the Festival with the title head of production.

Tee has twice been voted ‘Production Manager of the Year’ by peers and colleagues, as a full time professional working in the live events industry for over 30 years, Tee is widely acclaimed as having played a pivotal role in the development of Glastonbury Festival.

Tee continues: ‘Whilst I will obviously miss my involvement with Glastonbury Festival which has been a major part of my life for nearly two decades, I am looking forward to focusing on new projects and challenges. As specialists in site and production management, one thing is for certain – we are far from ‘hanging up our wellies’ more a case of looking forward to ‘moving onto pastures new.’

EnTEEtainment production portfolio includes the Radio 1 Big Weekend in Glasgow, Rochester Castle Concerts, Reading Festival, BBC Proms in the Park and Jeff Lynne’s ELO Concert as part of the Radio 2 Live Festival in Hyde Park. Up-coming projects include a range of corporate events, both in the UK and overseas, as well as the Radio 1 Teen Awards in Wembley Arena and the London Chinese New Year celebrations in Trafalgar Square, Chinatown and the surrounding areas of the Central West End.
